Scattered observations throughout most of the day. Mostly sunny and seasonably warm. The Peck's Skipper was seen while mowing what passes for a lawn. We can't participate in a no mow May effort because with our battery powered mower waiting 31 days to mow is a definite no no.

This morning's humid sunshine brought some visitors to the blossoms. Unfortunately, most were camera shy. Two male Falcate Orangetips were patrolling the garden or fighting each other off. Early this morning I had my first Giant Silkworm Moths of the season. Two beautiful male Luna Moths showed up at the lights. They always make me smile :0

9:30-1:00, sunny, high of 69. We enjoyed a spectacularly beautiful day, even without large numbers of butterflies. Migrant birds were also scarce, but a small group of warblers gave us some great looks. The sulphur and PC were seen later at the Beaver Brook section.
