Just saw a black butterfly… in March! Not sure of any markings, as it was moving very swiftly to escape a chasing bird.

FOY butterfly and caterpillar for me in the same day. Also two Red-spotted Purple caterpillars just emerging from hibernauclum on willow.

[Moderator]: Very nice! You certaonly could walk by that in the winter and not realize that it was more than a dead leaf.
