NABA Field Trip. 10:00-1:00, cloudy (until we quit for lunch!), mid-60s. 7 participants braved the poor butterfly conditions, mostly settling for a very nice botany walk. Also found a Spicebush Swallowtail chrysalis on Spicebush.

Common Buckeye was nice so early at this site. Falcate Orangetip were mostly males.

Lots of American and Painted Ladies around flowering trees near the fishing beach.

Given that it was overcast, the temperature was in the low 50s, and it was breezy, I was surprised when this flushed from an extensive blueberry/huckleberry patch on this bald-like outcrop. No other butterflies seen in 2+ hours.
