Reaching 90 degrees and extremely humid.
I watched a pair of Black Swallowtails and I think several attempts (not sure if successful) at mating. I live on a high hill.
A few minutes later, I was watching a hummingbird drinking from various zinnias in my garden and the remaining swallowtail not only chased it off the flower but clear across the garden (about 10 feet). This happened several times.

Area near Tilcon Lake off Kinney Road, Mt. Olive Twp.
Morris County, NJ
11:00 to 1:15. Overcast, 70s. This area is loaded with shrubby willows and is a great spot for Viceroys and Red-spotted Purples. But it was interesting that ca. 8 Viceroys and 2 Red-spotted Purples were "nectaring" on the berries of three Autumn Olive shrubs, a very invasive alien. They were really quite approachable leading me to wonder if the juice was somewhat fermented.
