Sunny; temperature ca. 56°. A 5 minute dash (ca. 2:00) to look for this lingering Eastern Tailed Blue. Undoubtedly the same butterfly as two days ago. I can't believe this tattered butterfly will survive the cold temps predicted for tonight.

While hawk watching at the "Acropolis" (south side of Culvers Gap above Rt. 206) a very fresh winter form Eastern Comma landed briefly on a rock right in front of me. It was 50F, windy with hazy sun through high, thin clouds.
