Literally several contiguous acres (see photo) of Indian Hemp (Apocynum cannabinum) in bloom but only Cabbage Whites and Silver-spotted Skippers in numbers. A large patch of the more attractive Spreading Dogbane (A. androsaemifolium) was not much better (see photo). A total of 14 species (about 150 individuals) in 1.5 hrs., plus 1 early instar Giant Swallowtail (see photo) on Northern Prickley-ash (Xanthoxylum americanum). Some Common Milkweeds in bloom.
