After the 4.2 inches of rain finally stopped falling this morning, I took a walk through the garden and was surprised to see so many butterflies and pollinators amongst the soggy blooms.

In the early morning hours, I found 3 Abbott's Sphinx Caterpillars feeding on Grapevine in two different areas of the yard, along with at least a dozen Juniper-twig Geometer Caterpillars dangling from the Juniper shrub.

  • Great Spangled Fritillary 6
  • American Lady 1
  • Silver-spotted Skipper 1
  • Little Glassywing 2
